It is once again that time of year! It is time for The Chocket Awards! What is a Chocket? It's a chicken rocket, dummy. It is given to what Camille and Dante consider the best Talkie, Best Action Movie, Best TV Show, Best Looking, Best Poster, Best Music, Best Documentary, Best Moment, Out of the Rabbit Hole, Down the Rabbit Hole, and Best Acting. The 2019 Chocket Awards

In this 2019 Chocket Awards show Camille and Dante discuss their favorite series from the past year including The Bodyguard and Victoria, some of the Worst Movies from the past year like Widows and Happytime Murders, an in depth discussion about the best worst movie ever made I'll Be Homeless For Christmas, the best documentary of the year like The Rachel Divide and Salt Fat Acid Heat, Camille raves about The Royal Wedding, the Best Movies of 2018 like Sorry To Bother You, Ash is Purest White, and Blindspotting. It is time once again for the Chocket Awards! This is our version of the Oscar's but without all the bullshit. Our categories include Best Talkie, Best Action, Best Looking, Best Poster, Best Music, Best Moment, Out of the Rabbit Hole, Down the Rabbit Hole, and Best Acting. Facts Of Law

Once again while talking last night Camille and I (Dante) somehow got into a topic about crime scenes. Oh, it was while discussing the series Law & Order. Then we made up a terrible scenario and this is what I came up with. There was also talk of mixing the Facts Of Life theme with Law & Order's theme but I couldn't find an acapella of it so I sang it as Leonard Cohen in the tone of The Soprano's for no reason.

 

The Thick Black Line

Can't quite remember how this started which seems to be a running theme in posts and stories involving me (Dante) and Camille. The Thick Black Line is about people with dirty nails. Nails so dirty you aren't quite sure how they got that way and there seems to be no explanation. I decided to do a trailer for it as well with some direct quotes from Camille. One is called The Thin Black Line because I make mistakes. Enjoy!

"Another Day Of Hurt" (parody video)

Okay, so here's what happened. I, Dante, was talking to Camille earlier and she said she heard the R.E.M song "Everybody Hurts" and could not stop singing it and the idea came to mix it with the very happy song "Another Day Of Sun" from the movie La La Land. Next thing you know this nonsense happened and I am happy about it. In case you don't know the movie starts off in a traffic jam that breaks out into a glorious song.

Another year, another set of movies. Who won? Who got snubbed?! Who cares?! We do. Dante and Camille present The Chocket Awards. They present the awards that they believe matter such as Best Music, Best Look/Style, Best Scene, Down The Drain (bad thing), Down The Rabbit Hole (good thing), Best Supporting Acting, Best Acting, and Best Movie. Soul Bees by Camille & Dante

The fairy tale version:

What it is! What it is! Well, uh, the word on the street is that the Soul Bees came about one day when some rebel bees got together and decided they weren't gonna put up with The Man no mo'! In their case, The Man was a queen bee, but don't pay that no mind, ya dig?

These here rebel bees blew that jive hive and roamed and roamed until they somehow found their way up in the apartment of a soul brotha. You know, one of these cool cats with nice threads hanging? Well these bees started jonesin' for one of this brotha's fly shirts. While that soul brotha was sleep, they picked up his fliest shirt and flew it straight out the window.

All of a sudden, a Fairy Bee appeared and said “What in the hive are you doing? You've abandoned your queen and now you're stealing? This is not what bees are about!”

Hitler Upset About Cereal

Dante: I have this Hitler angry clip and don't know what to make him angry about.

Camille: Cereal.

Dante: Huh?!

Sweet Meat & Bread

Cam and I were talking on the phone about food amongst other things. We started talking bout the use of pineapple on pizza and how it was very popular in the late 80's. I spoke of my dislike of pineapple on pizza and Cam could not stop laughing at my use of the word sweet meat and bread. I said it sounded like a bad cop film and next thing you know this happened. The tag line is from Cam not being able to think of something because she was laughing. 

"Lotion Girl" Trailer

Last night Camille and I were talking about lotion...I think. Most conversations I have start one place and end somewhere that is in between madness and sexy. We ended up talking about a lotion bottle that came to life and was a little girl. I made a poster for it and then came home and made a trailer for it. Check it out. It makes close to no sense! Once again we have returned with another of Camille's silent movies that aren't silent from when she was lil'. There are just a couple of these left and that makes me sad. Enjoy!

"The Alien And The Space Guy" by Camille

When Camille was in elementary she did a bunch of short stories. The first I posted was “The Nothing” which you can see by clicking here. This one which I've sat on for far too long is called “The Alien and the Space Guy.” I left in typos because it makes it cuter, damn it. I used images from multiple Alien films. Enjoy!

Rockets & Chicken: New Photo Rules

Camille: I had an interesting conversation with a group of co-workers the other day, where they told me I basically have the same face in most of my pictures. You know, when I do that open mouth surprise/happy face.

Yeah. That one. And I was telling them I don't usually like how I look in pictures so it got to the point where I thought I might as well look silly. How did you find yourself purposefully photo bombing?

Easily!

Dante: As you can tell from the pictures that I take myself I like to get people in conversation and have it look more natural. Set up pictures just give me more time to think. Its like when I watch myself on video I make faces I didn't even know I had. So saying to me "Get ready!" just means you have given more permission to think of a face to make.
